Total Barre Endurance with Props $250Purchase required to enroll

Props, props, props! Clients love props, and when you incorporate them into a lively, music-inspired barre class, they not only provide a fun and intense challenge, but ensure target muscles are firing effectively, and clients are getting the desired results. This four-hour workshop, developed by the Merrithew team, follows the 11-Segment, one-hour class template, introduced in the Total Barre Foundation Course. Learn unique, energetic choreography coupled with effective cues to reinforce safe biomechanics for each movement of the workout. The added resistance of a Flex-Band®, and Ankle Tubing effectively activates stabilizing and mobilizing muscles and the addition of the Mini Stability Ball provides both support and challenge. This workout, choreographed to a great selection of music, is a wonderful addition to your barre program.

STOTT PILATES Reformer for Older Adult $135Purchase required to enroll

Explore the benefits of working on the Reformer for the older adult in this interactive workshop, developed by the MERRITHEW™ team. Despite decrements associated with aging, the ability to adapt to endurance and strength training is well documented. The Reformer provides widely variable spring tensions to address both upper and lower body as well as core training. Modifications of exercises and considerations for limited mobility and strength issues are discussed with a view to enhance core stability, increase lean muscle mass, increase range of motion and improve body awareness.

Total Barre Amplified with Props $135Purchase required to enroll

Barre workouts have the potential to be both vigorous and enjoyable. Bring the energy of music to a challenging workout brought to you by the Merrithew team. Participants learn how to build intensity using the structure of the Total Barre® class template. This workout introduces elements of athletic conditioning and performance training to individual exercise segments for an intense full-body workout. Learn how to modify each of the 11 segments to focus training on specific movements or areas of the body. Explore how muscular endurance, strength, stability and agility can be trained with a fluid, yet-high intensity workout. Powerful music selections propel the intensity-driven routines to amplify the results and energize every participant.

CORE Balance and Strength on the Big Blue Stability Cushion $135Purchase required to enroll

This engaging and challenging new workout, developed by the MERRITHEW™ team, features a large Stability Cushion™ balance disk and a pair of secured hand weights. The combination of these props results in movements that are ideal for athletic training or functional fitness. The cushion provides an unstable base that helps activate the deep support muscles of the torso while the small hand weights incorporate peripheral resistance to movements of the arms and upper body. The Core Foundational Principles are applied in this fitness-based workout that will provide fun and variety – and a little extra challenge. Participants are encouraged to wear training shoes for this workshop.

STOTT PILATES Twist Ball Workout $135Purchase required to enroll

In this workshop, participants experience a fully integrated workout using the Twist Ball, an air-filled weighted workout ball. The same size and density as a larger Mini Stability Ball, the Twist Ball features a shifting center of sand and two soft foam handles. Once whole-body movement is mastered, participants can increase the variable load and challenge the connective tissue system through new creative exercises. Learn healthy load transfer strategies using drag, pick-up and toss style movements that reinforce whole-body motion, control, strength and coordination to manage acceleration and deceleration forces. Selected exercises in this workshop created by the team at Merrithew™ emphasize movement variables and fascial concepts.

STOTT PILATES Reformer with Padded Platform Extender $135Purchase required to enroll

Learn to use the Reformer as a customizable tool to train and condition exercisers of any fitness level by adding the Padded Platform Extender and Pole. Discover how the Extender can be used for sitting, standing or kneeling exercises, in this workshop developed by the Merrithew Health & Fitness™ team. STOTT PILATES Jumpboard Strength and Conditioning $135Purchase required to enroll

Learn programming to improve the strength and stability of hip, knee and ankle joints in both supine and standing positions in this workshop developed by the MERRITHEW™ team. The use of a Jumpboard with the Reformer allows the hip joint to be closer to an anatomically neutral alignment when transferring forces from the soles of the feet up through the body, promoting good biomechanics of the entire lower kinetic chain. Increased spring resistance emphasizes strengthening of the arms, shoulder girdle and legs.
